Dead Sea Float, Israel -April 12
A fabulous morning at the Dead Sea.
The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, at about 1,300 feet below sea level. It is three times as salty (30%) as ocean waters.
The minerals from the Dead Sea are a big cosmetic industry.
We very much enjoyed floating. The body is so buoyant, one can't even turn over onto the stomach. You pretty much get in the water and sit down, then you are floating on your back.
We were told to dry off after we were through with floating, then rub the mineral mud over us and wait until it dries. Then go back in the water and rinse off. Your skin feels as smooth as a baby's skin. Wish it would last!!!!
No wonder they bottle and market it!
Really a fun time and a very different experience.
