Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, Jan. 16, 2022

The people who originally boarded this ship on Christmas Eve had already stopped in Cabo, Mexico on their way to L.A..

But since this ship is doing an about face, they were back to Cabo for a repeat visit. We had not planned to be in Mexico at all.

It was a beautiful sunrise as we sailed into the bay of the Sea of Cortez to the picturesque port of Cabo San Lucas. (Yes, Dave took the sunrise photos).

The ship anchored and we took tender boats (very organized and uncrowded) to shore. Something that impressed us immediately was the array of color from all the flowers and also the lack of litter anywhere. Both Cabo San Lucas and the quieter neighbor, San Jose del Cabo, were so clean and lovely.

Many luxurious hotels, condos, and public golf courses dotted the white sand beaches and mountainsides.  It was a perfect day with blue sky and 80 degrees.

Whales travel to the area in winter to breed. All who went on whale watching excursions were happy with the sightings.

Later on the ship, we were treated to a party outside on deck 7 as a Meet and Greet for all those who had been communicating for 18 months on Cruise Critic and via email. Guest Jim M has been a big help getting and keeping the group informed. We had drinks and appetizers. The Captain and ship officers joined us, while sailing out of Cabo with a beautiful sunset and being entertained  by Viking guitarist, King.

After that it was made-to-order taco night in the World Cafe and at 9:00 pm, an entertaining show in the Star Theater. Every one of the 13 talented entertainers performed songs and music for our enjoyment.

The shows, the drinks, and the food have been top notch.
