Temple of Luxor, as seen from bus

Luxor Temple and road to Luxor scenes from the bus.

Although our tour only was for Temple of Karnak, we drove by the Temple of Luxor in our bus. We got some pretty good pics from the bus, so I made a separate post here.

The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor and was constructed approximately 1400 BC. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary".

Sphinx Avenue now connects the two large temples on the East Nile, Luxor and Karnak and is being renovated to its former glory.

Sphinx Avenue was underground, with buildings on top of it. Now being restored
